An old picture - hull 1 as Putz.

This is the earliest picture I have seen of this boat. It is interesting because it is at Key West and that it shows that a few modifications were done to the boat. In the picture, the boat does not have the articulated prod. Also, the boat does not have a mast head spinnaker in this picture.

Previously, I had been told that the articulated prod had been added later to hull 1. However, there is a picture of Hull two new at a show and it had the articulated prod so I thought it was always on hull 1 as well. This picture provers otherwise. I also had been told that the boat had the mast head chutes for Key west and that is how it got the initial 120 rating.

Leaving blog up as information

I actually did sell Ruckus over a year ago to a very nice sailormaker and last I heard, he was doing pretty well with it in the Miami, Florida area. . I am glad. I will leave this blog up for a while still as a source of information on both the SR sailboats and C&C, who purchased the SR line in about 1994.

Also, as far as I know, the only other SR25 actually built and finsihed is Hull Two and is in California still.

For the record, I do miss this boat! The pictures were from Sailing Anarchy's CHAWS event, held only one year at Ft Pierce, Florida.
